We return in 2024 with our Gold Award-Winning, stunning and challenging half marathon distance trail event, starting and finishing in the beautiful grounds of Lyme, National Trust, Cheshire.
With amazing views, and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, this event is definitely one not to be missed! This beautiful course will be fully marked and marshalled with 2 well stocked aid stations and a bespoke medal awaits you at the finish!
Description
From the spectacular backdrop of Lyme Hall, the run starts out following the Gritstone Trail south over remarkable terrain, where the views stretch on for miles around. The route then traverses you up and along Kerridge Ridge, past the famous White Nancy landmark and then on to Bollington. Here you join the Macclesfield Canal for a flatter section back towards Lyme and the finish.

Start is adjacent to the main car park looking up towards Lyme House.
Distance and Price
Event Entry is £34, which includes parking and entrance to the park and gardens for the day.
Parking
Entrance to the park and parking is covered by your ticket price. Parking is in the main car park. Please follow signs and marshal instructions at the end of the long entry road. Postcode is SK12 2NR, follow signs off the A6 towards Lyme.
Start time
Event start time is 7:30am. There will be even more wildlife out on the route at this time! We will start the event in waves and more information will come out about this nearer the time once we know final numbers.
Registration
Registration will open at 6:30am and close at 7:15am.
Event Briefing –
Event briefing will be by the start line at 7:25am.

Mandatory Kit
We are cupless! Please bring a hydration pack or your own cup/bottle. We will be selling squashable silicone cups on the day for £4.
Please prepare for the conditions and bring sun cream/hat if necessary and we recommend a jacket if the weather is inclement.
We also strongly advise to download the GPX of the route onto a wearable watch or mobile device. Although this is a marked course event, arrows have been known to be tampered with, so a good understanding of the route is advisable.
